Will the 3rd time be the charm??
Our frozen embryo transfer cycle has finally begun!!! It seemed like an eternity waiting for AF (aunt flow) to arrive but she's here and we can finally get the ball rolling. So I'm going to recap what we are doing this cycle cause I have been asked lots of questions about it. We are doing a frozen embryo transfer (FET). That means we will be thawing 2 of the 6 embryos we have in a freezer at the fertility clinic and transferring them into my uterus. This process is very short and sweet and no where near as detailed and invasive as the last 2 fresh cycles we have done. Tomorrow I will start taking estrogen twice a day (2mg tablets) and will take that for 9 days and then go in for a uterine lining check. They want my lining to be .8cm thick for the transfer but hopefully it will be even thicker! After that, I will start the dreaded progesterone shots every day (my butt is still sore from the last cycle). The embryo transfer should be approximately March 19 but could change a little. Will know for sure after the lining check. So we are hoping the third time is the charm and that 1 or both of those embryos will stick this time and stay put for 9 months! God is always faithful and we continue to trust Him and His perfect timing! Continue to pray and believe with us for a miracle baby or 2! :)
